Your Assessment Objectives for A2 state that you must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of film as an audio-visual form of creative expression, together with its contexts of production and reception and of the diversity in film making across different historical periods and locations (AO1).
In order to develop the skills needed for study at A2, and to support your understanding of the production and reception contexts of 'City of God', Miss Ryan will be introducing an Independent Research Project on Brazil.

Power, Poverty and Conflict
Welcome back, Year 12! You wonderful lot.
We are beginning this half term with a focus on Section A of the FM4 exam: Urban Stories.
One of our films is set in Brazil and we are, in a way, very lucky that there will be a huge media focus on the country over the coming months. As well as showing information about the World Cup, media outlets are trying to show the other side of the country and that is the side we are most interested in!
